New home, yet somehow different, luckily there are the familiar foods hidden in their bowls! Play time is always an option when you’re this green! Preen time and the ongoing battle to nap never ends! These are the last photos we received of Chip and Tillie at their new-found forever home. But all stories eventually come to an end. This post marks the final chapter of our lives being entangled with the troublemaking green-cheeked conures that stirred our hearts. While their time with us was short, they will always be remembered and loved. May their lives be long and packed with adventure at every turn in all their future forever homes!

Just our luck! The day after Tillie and Chip went to their new forever home, we get the DNA sexing results back. The results showed that both chirpies are male! To be fair though, the sample feathers sent were not plucked from either bird, they had just fallen out. The specifically say not to do that… but who could steal a feather from such lovely birdies. Not me, that’s for sure!

Chip and Tillie fight over the remains of their battle from yesterday… the remains of the sultana box. Lucky for both of them we had some fresh sultana boxes ready to go for their new home!

We almost get to see both Tillie and Chip in this video. Rumblings from beneath the warm blanket around their home reminds us that they are loved by all.

The last goodnight chirpies from me. From tomorrow onward you will be in the care of another. I hope they take good care of you, you will be greatly missed. I won’t forget either of you.
