The Chip Stomp!

Chip looks to have found his groove, doing things that Chip would normally do! Stomping around on the perch like he is king bird. This was only possible with Tillie left in the cage though… Tillie would chase Chip for being so stompy!

Chip Eating!

While trying to keep a close eye on Chip to make sure he is still eating after his crash, Tillie can’t help but try to be the bird at the centre of attention. Tillie, Tillie, Tillie! Thankfully Chip looks to be doing quite well!

Post Crash, Recovery Begins!

Chip looking dazed after hitting the glass window, much less scared than before where he was chirping in a sad way. Now he’s just zoned out looking… thankfully an improvement as the coming days will show! Poor Chippy!

Chip’s Impact! (Sad Video!)

Chip clipped a piece of metal furniture, that I personally hate and keep voicing how junk they are, while flying around just before a bath. After Chip had impacted the metal chair, he was unable to land properly, hovering a few inches above where he thought there should be a landing spot. Tillie then spooked Chip further by noticing something miles away outside and made alert noises all over the place unnecessarily… This caused Chip to fly around panicked and impacted a wall, then went straight for the only exposed glass window. Never again. We were worried sick about him. His neck was bent, it was a terrible, scary time. I put him into a dark box with an old t-shirt to let him settle. These were the noises he made when I checked on him. He was not happy at all with me. Poor Chip! We have never heard Chip make that noise in his entire life, and we hope to never hear it again. It was the biggest scare and the saddest feeling knowing we may have had to have him put down. Thankfully, he made a great recovery after only 30 minutes and is back to his normal self. Baths are off the menu for a few days though. He’s got a bit of a bump on the noggin by the looks.

Burrrp! Tillie!

A quick video and the last one we have of Chip before he had “The Incident”. Unfortunate it wasn’t something a little more classy like Chip would have been used to…
